The master cylinder, slave cylinder..clutch..bearing..brake fluid I replaced the master cylinder, slave cylinder and entire clutch system, trrow out bearing and plates and am bleeding the system but the clutch wont build pressure.... clamp the line to the slave cylinder and mash the clutch pedal. if the pedal gets hard to push,the slave is bad. if the clutch pedal goes down slowly with moderate pressure,the master cyl is bad clamp the line going to the slave cylinder. meant to say that in the previous answer

You will get a slightly better bleed from a well duct-taped cylinder (or using the proper MINI tool), but this will do fine. 28/09/2011 · That's the thing, On hers after i changed the slave when she depresses the clutch i see barley any movement at all, on my 99 when i press the clutch in my slave cylinder moves in about and inch or two, i can tell mine moves alot more when depressing the clutch.

- 31/08/2012 · The slave cylinder on his truck is located inside the bell housing, he must disconnect it to remove the transmission. He should also replace the slave when he does the clutch, it sucks to have to pull the transmission a few months later to do it.
- 28/12/2013 · The slave cylinder would ususally (almost always) leak into the bellhousing if it has failed. If you are sure all the air is out of the system you can try disconnecting the line from the slave cylinder and step lightly on the clutch to see if it tries to force fluid out of the line.
